Boosters don’t need to become a norm if the virus burns out, and this winter is likely to take out what remains of the vulnerable. The 1918 pandemic ran, what? 2-3 years? and we’re coming up on the 2 year mark. I certainly wouldn’t discourage the elderly and high risk, tho.
I can’t think of any respiratory virus humanity has ever successfully burned out.
