Here’s an article about a SLC guy that has the same disease as Powell had. He says, “Among the immunocompromised, the vaccine may well be protective, especially with a booster shot, Harrison said. But only about half of patients with blood cancer develop antibodies in response to the vaccine, he said — and only one-third of transplant recipients do. Harrison, for example, only has one-tenth to one-twentieth of some types of immune cells that are needed for “an adequate immune system.”

MS isn’t mentioned in the above article but it’s among one of those conditions where antibody production isn’t so hot, so yeah, could very well be a death sentence for the 2% of Americans who are transplant or disease immunocompromised
