There are sooooo many examples. Why do democRATS who have NO CHANCE of being winning anything in a presidential primary continue to campaign. The Federal System permits them to raise gobs of funds. They ‘hire’ family and friends, they set up multiple layers of nonprofits and NGOs, staffed by the same family and friends. People get amazing salaries, private jets, penthouses, limousines, and more. Bernie Sanders now has 3, 4, 5 houses and lakefront properties. Sanders’ wife raked in $80 million as a ‘non-profit’ enterprise.
Some Republicans make a fortune in the private sector, and then run for office. Most demoRATS run for office, and later, as if by magic, become very, very wealthy.
