Half the fans will be happy, half the fans won't. But, thank you for taking a stand. Not like he said if you get vaxxed don't come to my show.

Good for him.
Though I don’t know the last time he had a hit. I mean just on country charts. Nowadays you have to be hipster techno hip-hop to get on the “country” charts.

Except for Creed Fisher. Still some real country in that guy. (Yeah, some good rock guitar at times, but fiddles and slide steel too.)

Right?!!? Seems like 90% of the “new” country music is just this side of rap or whatever ghetto music is called.

Easy list for Travis to find: use the venues used by Eric Clapton on his current tour, starting with Dickies Arena in Fort Worth. Eric stipulated he would play no venues with a mask or vaccine requirement.
There have been no reported Covid outbreaks since his tour began last month... and you know damn well any outbreaks would receive front page treatment if there had been any.

Oh occasionally I hear something that actually sounds country.
Hannity hasn’t helped using “country” of the new era intro to his segments on the radio show. “This is how we roll”…esp. if it’s the longer version with the techno quickie beat. And the newer one he finally changed to, still too rapper like.

It is really distress8ng.
Actually I like some of the pieces. BUT, it ain’t “country”
This stuff should be on techno dance or hip hop stations, not our long-time “country” station!
The bad thing with that is it means we can hear more real “country” even less because the official station is taken over with it!

A bit O/T, but I was going to the Doobie Brothers concert tonight. Then I found out Toyota Music Factory in Irving requires proof of vaccine or recent test.
I spent some of that money on the purchase of a couple Let’s Go Brandon! shirts... lol

Back in the late 90’s I had a night part-time job at a telemarketing center calling people to listen to a country station. Need the money for my senior year HS.
YUp. It was hard LOL. The secret was that I “tweaked” the script and didnt follow the robotic lines.

I saw EC a few weeks ago at Gas South Arena here in ATL metro. Formerly Gwinnett Arena. He put on a great show, as did his warm up, Jimmy Vaughn, Stevie Ray’s older brother.

Great job! I think that’s the way to do it...if they want to come to his concerts, the freakazoids can get their own vax, wear 30 masks, and even put plastic bags over their heads. That’s cool.
But leave the rest of us alone.
