Former President Trump released a statement on Monday discussing his four-hour deposition in the civil lawsuit involving alleged violence that broke out between protesters and his security guards in 2015, saying he was "pleased to have had the opportunity to tell my side of this ridiculous story."
In 2015, a group of protesters of Mexican origin brought a suit against Trump and his head of security, Keith Schiller, following a rally outside Trump Tower protesting his inflammatory remarks about Mexican immigrants. They alleged that Trump's security assaulted them and infringed on their First Amendment rights to peaceful protest....

and it looks to me like the security guards were being restrained/manhandled instead of the other way around.
Looked to me like:
Protestor had signs taken away. (Bad for Trump World if on public property such as the street; Good for Trump World if on their private property)
Protestor made effort to get sign away. This resulted in a tug (I suppose you could say altercation).
In response, security landed a punch on him.
Seems like both of them went over the top.
Protestor again went and shoved a security guard from behind (but no punch).
I could sense three assaults. The initial in the protestor coming up to reclaim his posters, then the strong punch to the face by security, and then the same protestor upon another security. Kind of a mixed situation with no clear cut initial aggressor. Not a good angle, either.
Sounds like something Chicago DA Kim Foxx would call “mutual combat” and not actionable.
I watched several times and now I am convinced both sides were at fault. They ought to call it a draw and just finish it up. Six years is nonsense.
