unless the FDA has revised their authorization letter, someone has misinformed Johnson. The way I read the FDA’s letter, Comirnaty/Pfitzer vaccine has FDA authorization and a third shot in specific groups only is authorized under another EUA

“COMIRNATY (COVID-19 Vaccine, mRNA) is the same formulation as the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine and can be used interchangeably with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine to provide the COVID-19 vaccination series.1”

I highly doubt Senator Johnson is mis-informed.
