When I originally read Mr. Peikoff's book, many years ago, it struck me that many of his ideas were sound. Decades later, some of his most pessimistic conclusions seem to be confirmed by current events. I am not sure if I know anyone who might agree with his personal political preferences (he has at various times endorsed Democrats or Republicans, and on occasion essentially 'none of the above' ;>), but that perhaps is a different matter...
