As many as 17 Christian missionaries from the United States and their family members, including children, were kidnapped on Saturday by a gang in Port-au-Prince as they were leaving an orphanage, according to Haitian security officials.
Details of the kidnapping remained unclear, but local officials said the missionaries were abducted from a bus headed to the airport to drop off some members of the group before continuing to another destination in Haiti.
The kidnapping of the American missionaries happened only a day after the United Nations Security Council extended its mission in Haiti by nine months in a unanimous vote on Friday.
A State Department spokesman had no comment on the abductions in Haiti on Saturday night.

Why in God’s name are we helping this POS country?
I know of full time missionaries there,.........and our church sent short term missionaries too....
It’s what missionaries do.
But this news isn’t good.....considering who our president is,
In God’s name we are helping this country. Some think they can be helped.
Missionaries in Africa are safer than those in Haiti.
Haiti’s always been a money laundering nation.....just ask the Clintons.
With our current president I doubt any of them are safe.
Please keep them in your prayers.
Yes. I will.
..........Biden’s a little short on Navy Seals right now.
Guess he can send some of Milley’s guys/gals/dysphorics.
Sorry that inaccurate
Everyone today is concerned about their safety under this administration. Heck there’s kidnappings and violence every day in this country.
In God’s name. That’s why.
Me too. Agape flights from Naples florida supports them. Terrible.
With all the Haitian’s here now, the missionaries can just stay home.
I was listening to a Dutch missionary whose church sent people here to minister in the US. Interesting how that happens.
I thought Haiti had emptied all their “Tonton Macoutes” to our southern border.

My future daughter in law is dutch.. I would lice to know the name of this church.
My son did two mission trips to Haiti. They were staying at a Christian school that had armed guards. Two times outside of the school they faced issues. One of those times by UN officers.
He came back from the second trip a week before the big earthquake that paid for Chelsea’S wedding gown. The roof of the school’s church collapsed killing everyone inside. He would have been in the church too if he was still there.
He didn’t do any more mission trips after that.
It was via comments on post I was reading.not long ago. I suppose I should have said ‘read’ not listen.
Purged the army and law enforcement agencies.
Democrat hacks do read who knew.
