My brother was telling me about his grandson, who is the epitome of someone who has gone out of his way to squander his young life. No skills. Didn’t graduate from High School. Got a gal pregnant, now has a son. All those things and much more.

I opined that, for someone like him, this time, today, is a GOLDEN opportunity. There are so many jobs he could get that he is unqualified for and be trained into them, which I have no doubt is true.

I wonder if he will do it.

What I fear is this generation is being conditioned to being slothful. Cancel school. Cancel work. Wait for the government check to hit the bank account. Stay up all night killing zombies with your friends.

Going to be hard to re-instill a solid work ethic among this group.

Trucking schools are popping up everywhere.. It's a good occupation, pays reasonably well and always in need...
