A public pressure campaign. Embarrass the Democrats. Arouse a public outcry. An example:
At the ACLJ, we’ve launched one of the largest legal advocacy efforts to defend dying Christians from genocide and death. We’re directly engaging with world leaders, on Capitol Hill, with legal demand letters to persecuting nations, and through written submissions and oral interventions at the U.N. We’re mobilizing our international offices in the most expansive campaign for the persecuted Church we’ve ever undertaken. ACLJ Delivers CRITICAL Oral Intervention Asking U.N. To Defend Endangered Christians in Afghanistan
When Republicans don't have control of the legislative or executive branches, they have to wage this type of public pressure campaign. The one I posted about is a similar effort:
"A group of House Republicans sent a letter Tuesday to the U.S. Department of State and Office of Management and Budget (OMB) demanding they expedite the evacuation of all remaining Americans and Afghan allies stuck in Afghanistan."
The Democrats do it very effectively when they are out of power. Republicans and "conservatives," could support these efforts by giving them publicity, especially now that the internet gives average Joe power to reach an audience. However, many Republicans and "conservatives" carp and criticize their own. They don't understand the tactic, or they don't want to win, or they are deep-cover saboteurs.
No, I mean how would they get the people out of the country? Send in troops? Negotiate with the Taliban? Work with a third country? How?
You must like losing.
