Get out while you still can. I did, over 25 years ago. It was bad then. I lived in Pawtucket. The year before I left we had a boil-water order that lasted for months. The official(s) in charge of the water system had been selling the disinfectant chemicals out the back door instead of using them.

A standing joke there was that Rhode Island was unique in that it was the only entire state controlled by the Mafia. But it wasn't just a joke. Everything you did in business required payoffs. Just getting a table at The Harborside cost you $20.

I do miss the fresh seafood, though.
