We may all be there soon.
If the law does not work, then vigilante justice becomes all there is.
That is why the "senseless gun violence" meme is absolutely false.
Most shootings in the ghetto are either street justice (for previous wrongs) or fights over territory (since there is no legal way to adjudicate it).
Without court systems that actually work for justice, people will take matters into their own hands.
