I got the vaccine (JnJ) and I got covid and spent 6 days in the hospital with covid pneumonia. 10 weeks later I still don’t have full lung usage. Some say the vaccine saved me from worse consequences but there is no empirical evidence of that. It’s a matter of faith. Sorry, I’m fresh out of faith in government and mandated medicine.
There is plenty of statistical and empirical evidence that the J&J reduces the severity of COVID in populations. You just can’t be certain that in your specific case your outcome would be different (without cloning yourself and a time machine). I think its safe to follow the numbers and assume you align with other people in your age/risk category.
Sorry to hear you got a bad and unlucky breakthrough case. And it’s unfortunate the vaccines are far from perfect. China unleashed a pernicious virus. Glad you survived.
