Hang in there. the sport of the day around here is to revile medical people
who speak the truth and don’t go along with the conspiracy theories. those of us in the real medical world know what is happening and that you speak truth. Thank you for what you do every day. Lord knows it isnt easy but your patients are lucky to have you. I hope none of the cowards here try to go after your nursing license as has been threatened in the past
To do that they would have to give their names. I’ve stated my observations as written off the cuff but i think they are accurate for the most part though rough around the edges. I have to be careful about not “embarrassing” the hospital where I work but I’ve told my manager that I do try to report truthfully what i see, admitting to my own biases and I may not cover all the “favored political angles” as nothing correlates very well with what all the main factions are saying. The sick with covid will come to the hospital but hundreds of millions will never be sick with covid or even have issues with the vaccines. I remind myself often of the millions who will never have issues at all with either covid or with having taken the vaxxes.
Yet thousands all over the world will have significant issues with the covid vaxxes. We haven’t seen any admitted to our hospital with vaxx issues or at least none have come to my ICU, but I hear they are out there.
I do think the real rush to try to get the unvaccinated vaxxed may have been more of a mundane but still little talked about issue. The pfizer and moderna people knew the vaccines’ strengths(Thank you Veritas) would wane over time and those unvaxxed who caught sick with covid would start getting the previously vaxxed sick as the vaccine immunity would start to drop. I think they hoped that if they could get to 80 percent vaxxed they could squelch the disease in one fell swoop in stead of having it just string out and string out. I’m not sure about conditions in Israel why they’ve had the issues they’ve had(I’ve had my own dark questions about that) That’s why the boosters are being offered...but the horses are out of the barn already! The vaccines have issues and many have been sickened and many have died but still those numbers pale in comparison to the hundreds of millions that seem to do okay with them. What will happen thru the years, i can’t say, to us who were vaxxed.
I don’t like the mandates, I don’t like that a certain political party is trying to shoe horn the pandemic as the means to remake society into a monstrously hideous techno-tyranny!
I try to make a difference in people’s lives. I am conservative and I voted for trump! I don’t like that the democrats have perpetrated the most fiendish high tech lynching of our elections one could ever imagine. The audacity took ones breath away! I don’t have all the answers but I have known the slime, taste and smell of another patient’s vomit in my eyes, nose, and mouth and the impact of a punch from a patient, high on meth and coke. I held an aids patient once who died in my arms bleeding out of his eyes and mouth(he was DNR but not intubated) while begging to his partner to his very last breath...”Come, let’s leave this hospital and see the sunrise...!”
