“Whoever leads in artificial intelligence in 2030 will rule the world until 2100.” So wrote the Brookings Institution in January 2020, echoing the warnings of so many. Thus should we be more than alarmed that the Pentagon’s former software chief — who just resigned in protest over our military’s stunted technological development — has said that cyber defenses in parts of our government are at “kindergarten level.”
Nicolas Chaillan, who left the Department of Defense earlier this month, said he departed “because he could not stand to watch China overtake America,” writes the Financial Times (FT).
“In his first interview since leaving … Chaillan told the Financial Times that the failure of the US to respond to Chinese cyber and other threats was putting his children’s future at risk,” the paper continues.
“‘We have no competing fighting chance against China in 15 to 20 years. Right now, it’s already a done deal; it is already over in my opinion,’ he said, adding there was ‘good reason to be angry,’” the FT also related.
This won’t come as a shock to some, with how Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin and the now-infamous General Mark Milley have prioritized “wokeness” over military readiness. In particular, they’ve warned of “white supremacy” in the ranks and have sought to root it out (likely a cover for purging Biden regime opponents), which is a bit like devoting resources to ferreting out the remaining unicorns from America’s horse population.
Our generals have also been busy pushing sexual devolutionary and feminist innovations, such as developing “maternity flight suits” for pregnant service members and catering to the “transgender” agenda.

News flash...we don’t have until 2030, this fight will happen in 2025 following a populist revolt in the US...
We’re already in deep, deep trouble with AI etc v China.
It’s only going to get a whole lot worse.
the Pentagon is now the Pentagram which bombs itself,
leaves the BEST weapons for the ENEMY,
and the best airports for the ENEMY,
as it watches bioweapons from the ENEMY injected
into PATRIOTS.
This Pentagram imposes Communist doctrine,
feminism, and transsexuality, and bioweapons on
OUR military.
They OBVIOUSLY work FOR THE ENEMY.
It gets better. Our military will outsource our AI defenses to the Chinese.
I vaguely remember a sci fi novel made into a movie/show way back, early 70s even? It was about a future total war where the US was defeated. It made it fairly clear it was China that won the war. I remember we all thought the idea was so preposterous it was funny. China was a backwards 3rd world nation then where the people mostly worked on rice fields with fresh night soil in their hands much like beasts of burden. Then they were herded back to villages to recite Mao’s little red book , have a few hours sleep with their spouse in a tiny shack then repeat it all the next day. I mean we kids (many had dads/uncles that served) all knew they fought us hard in Korea but that was with rifles and old WW1 era artillery and captured Japanese stuff using massive numbers of infantry. The idea of defeating us in an all out war with air/naval was “cra cra”. I believe the US then used more electricity in A.C. alone than that all of China produced. Now in my lifetime it seems like it could become a possibility. Still can’t quite fathom how it changed that fast.
Anyone remember the movie?
All the AI tech is a bit troubling...
I heard they have a new one of those doorbell/web cam thingies with AI that can argue with the Jehovah’s Witnesses so you don’t have to!
AI is certainly a technology I want the US to dominate in.
But if China is dominating right now, you’d think their AI would have avoided their energy crisis and power outages. Probably should have done something about evergreen before now too.
A good AI would probably tell China to leave it’s neighbors alone and be a good neighbor not an aggressive and warlike one.

They don’t look familiar but it’s been about 50 years!
The only scene I can clearly remember is they showed a pilots face in an enemy warplane and he looked possibly to be Chinese (there were other hints, I remember a red star, some other stuff). Thanks for searching though.
I’d like to know myself, it sounds familiar but I cannot find it.
i’ve been ringing the bell since 1995.
no one cares. or at least, they’re all paid and won’t do anything about it.
i’ve pushed DARPA to drive in a direction. i was partially successful when they put out a white paper the following year looking for designs. when a CA naval college group posted exciting news of some basic swarm tech, 0bama and crew shut them down.
and that was the last i’ve seen of the tech
this will be the next battle field... and our guys and gals are going to get chewed up because they have no viable defense against 100,000+ drones
Ah, another China is “superman” fantasy article, despite the reality of Indian army Gurkhas stacking dead ChiComm bodies like cordwood at Ladakh in the summer of 2020.
Some are sounding the alarm. Not sure the alarm will be heard.
Biden has me seriously worried. If China decided to launch nucs at us right now NORAD would establish a conference with the President and quickly brief him on the situation and basically tell him he has x number of minutes to make a decision on how to respond (what countries/types of targets) to launch our nucs on. He will be told repeatedly that he has to make a decision within continually narrowing time in order to ensure continuity of command (time we will probably not be able to act in response). I keep imagining Biden muttering unintelligibly as usual until all he hears on his phone is a buzzing sound of a dead line as an intense blinding flash of light shines through his bedroom window. THE END. For all of us! Thanks demwits!
