You are talking like that is so easy. Unfortunatly not every one can afford private school. Also, not every one is qualified to home teach. When our kids went to school, which was a long time ago, I never heard of home schooling, besides I would not have been able to. So what other choices is there for peoples?

I understand that it’s a sacrifice, but what are the options? No amount of school board meetings and elections are going to make a bit of difference. Private schools are expensive, but if the demand were big enough (more parents taking their kids out of the government schools), then there would be more choices. Also, I believe every parent who cares about his or her kids is capable of teaching them at home. It was harder years ago when there were not as many resources or support, and many states tried to stop it, but it’s possible. Things are so much worse now in the government schools than they were years ago when your kids were in school. There was a time when there was still some real education taking place in the neighborhood schools.
