The Afghans hijacked 26 helicopters and 35 military aircraft from the Taliban.

19 Mi-17 helicopters; 7 UH-60 helicopters; 7 A-29 Tucano attack aircraft (one aircraft was shot down by the air defense of Uzbekistan); 17 Cessna 209B light multi-purpose aircraft; 11 Pilatus-12NG aircraft.

It is known that some of the equipment of the former Afghan Air Force is already located on the territory of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. There is information that in the near future this equipment will be relocated to American military bases within the framework of the agreements reached between the countries.

Vid showed some AH-64D's on a flightline.

Did not know those were left behind also.

I recall a story during the first days of the Kabul disaster about Afghan pilots escaping to neighboring countries with their aircraft. They knew their fate is they stayed around so they were among the first out.

Me either and they weren’t identified in the various lists I saw. Perhaps they were counted in the overall number but that may be a stretch. We’re going to pay in blood for that. Strongly edited
