Lowest price I ever paid was 18.9 about 1964 in Texas. Of course it was during a gas war. :-)

My oil and energy stocks were in the dumper for several years but I kept buying low. Now it is paying off.

Circa 1965, one afternoon/night in Arlington, Texas, two stations at an intersection went to war. One was a Gulf, the other might have been a Sinclair. The price went from $.25 to zero. Then the tanks went dry. The lines were impressive in the evening.
