Austin, Texas. As close as you can be to living in California without actually living in California.

I've stayed in Austin quite a few times, visiting my daughter who lived there. It always reminded me of Berkeley California. Although more liberal than Berkeley.

I recall traveling through Montana, and there was a city there that was like dropping into the land of Oz it was so liberal compared to the rest of Montana. Was it Butte? I can’t quite recall.
