Chris Hayes called out Tucker Carlson during Wednesday's All In With Chris Hayes. Hayes pointed out that Carlson has been a vocal opponent to vaccine mandates, both in the private and public sectors, while also adhering to his own company’s policies. Carlson has bashed mandates as “tyrannical” and referred to President Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate as “a form of sadomasochism,” which Hayes found ironic.
“The Fox News vaccine requirement is stricter than the one proposed by President Joe Biden and described as ‘tyranny’ and ‘creeping communism,’” Hayes said.
Over the past several months, Carlson and other Fox News personalities have interviewed and championed several people who have lost or quit their jobs as a result of vaccine mandates from their employers. After briefly exploring this trend, Hayes issued a challenge to his cable news rival.
“If you truly believe you are suffering under the ‘sadomasochistic heel’ of an employer,” Hayes said, “even if they are paying you lots and lots of money, if you don't want people to think you're a total fraud then you have to have the guts to call out Fox News or resign in protest.”

Politico noted Hayes had also made donations to Democrats, in 2008 and 2009.
He says he would never have been a host if it hadn’t been for Maddow.
She backed him as an anchor and gave him advice with his own show. For instance, he doesn’t dwell on his voice cracking during a monologue, after Maddow taught him content mattered more than a perfect delivery. Like Maddow, Hayes is “forensic” in his analysis, according to The New York Times, which allows him and his fans to position themselves as “smart, sane, and righteous.”
What Hayes liked about Trump was the lack of subtlety. The subtext behind his policies was clear. He said things like Trump’s declaration that Mexico was sending in rapists showed the “driving force” behind his politics.
“It’s harder and harder for people to pretend, for instance, that the immigration-restriction movement isn’t fundamentally animated by some sort of bigoted animus,” he told The Nation.
In April 2019, Hayes hosted a climate change town hall with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

I want to actually see those two standing side by side.
Fox News’ Tucker Carlson pounced and said Hayes was, “what every man would be if feminists ever achieved absolute power in this country: apologetic, bespectacled, and deeply, deeply concerned about global warming and the patriarchal systems that cause it.”
Wow. I missed that. A real Mensa meeting that must have been.
As much as I dislike Chris, he does have a point on the hypocrisy of Tuckers stance because even private company vaccine mandate is a form of coercion. So Tucker should be taking a stance not only on government mandates but now the seemly acceptance by the majority sheep that you can be coerced into submission. Scary times we live in and I am shocked a lot of people are not thinking this long term.
Fox is basically doing the governments job.
I don’t disagree. Love Tucker but now is the time for him to put up or shut up.
hahaha. we shall see Fox’s fortitude in keeping him.

“By age 28, he was the Washington editor of the longtime commie rag, The Nation.”
Thanks. You gotta be a radical firebrand to move up that quick.
“If we lived under Rule of Law, then laws (actual laws that really existed) would matter!”
But we now live under Rule of Men, and if they want people to do something, then people are just expected to obey the latest word from on high.
Of course, actual enforcement can be tricky. The government wants to avoid the situation from early in the 19th century when President Andrew Jackson said, “John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it.” That makes for an awkward situation where a potential lack of power can be seen by the public.
So, our government has persuaded Companies to do all the dirty work. Don’t need a law. Don’t need an EO. Just apply a lot of leverage and see how far you can push it. That’s the best way to enact Rule of Men. It’s Big Business working the will of Big Government. It’s fascism.”

___
Put up or shut up what?
I think Tucker works out of Maine now and not NYC.
I think Carlson was vaxxed long before the mandate. As for Hayes, if Fox DIDN’T have a mandate, he would say they should be shut down for that.
“ Maybe it’s just me, but I think Hayes has a point here.”
Yup. It’s just you. Carlson is a voice against the establishment. To resign silences that voice. That would be stupid.
