"...We Want to Keep Gas Prices Low, but 'Climate Crisis Can’t Wait'..."

It has been my experience that when someone says "but" you can disregard every single thing they say before the word "but".

Me too. I have 18 panels, and they do about 2/3 of my electricity.

I added a few electric baseboards, and on sunny days in the winter, I let them run. My Oil bill is half what is was.

I have the new 25 year asphalt roof completely covered with solar panels, so it’s in the shade. So I’m hoping for 30 years. The side of the garage thats in the shade, facing north, the roof lasted much longer. I’ll be gone when that roof gets replaced.

Good for you!

"Electric baseboards" and "oil bill" sounds like a foreign language here in the south. LOL

Thanks for reminding that asphalt roofs have 25 year warranties. That does change the usability of solar on those roofs.

“There is not a single lamebrain idea that these Democrats do not embrace.”

True beyond doubt but is there a single NON lamebrain idea that they DO embrace? I can’t think of one.

Heard from M. Friedman lately?

If there were such a thing as a climate crisis,we couldn’t do anything about it anyway, EXCEPT spend a lot of public funds trying to overcome something that is not ours to overcome in the first place. Can you honestly say there is a way to stop hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, extreme heat or cold? More RELIABLE 24 hr.available & AFFORDABLE power sources will overcome most of the PROBLEMS associated with these extreme conditions, tho. That tends to exclude the “green renewables” in most cases.

It only stands to reason if there is a power producer that wants to get into the “green renewable energy” business, it has to mean a rather large investment to get started. There will also be additional costs down the road. They will also have their more or less fixed costs on the original power plants which must be kept running for obvious reasons. There can be no savings that I can see for the customer. The power company MIGHT eventually make money.
