A group of prominent experts on COVID-19 is pushing President Joe Biden to significantly scale back his plan to provide booster shots for every vaccinated American.
The experts, some of whom advised the president during the transition, told Biden and some of his top medical experts during a September 27 conference call that the data currently available does not justify using booster shots to combat breakthrough COVID infections among the vaccinated, according to Politico. The outside experts argued that the boosters should be restricted to only those at high risk from COVID-19.
Biden was joined on the call along with White House chief medical adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci, White House policy adviser Cameron Webb, and the heads of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
The Sept. 27 call was originally planned for the week before. The White House abruptly rescheduled it after the CDC’s independent vaccine advisory committee recommended that the Pfizer-BioNTech booster be reserved for high-risk groups, including the elderly.
The rescheduled call was the tensest one to date, according to the three people with information on the talks. Fauci argued that the CDC committee’s stance — that science did not support giving boosters to all adults — was incorrect.

Fauci’s comments reportedly left the independent experts confused as to what the White House wanted to accomplish with the vaccines. “It was very tense,” one person said, according to Politico. “More than anything, it was like Fauci felt he needed to make a point.”

Of course, the NEXT phone call came from the VP of Marketing for Pfizer, and his opinion contrasted considerably.
Sounds like they finally realize they don’t know what they are talking about. Finally they may ask people working in hospitals day to day, instead of fact checkers working computer modules with their fake science. I would trust a COVID nurse who has worked 12 months in the trenches, knows more than the highest paid jerk in the Universsities.

The issue is not the efficacy of the booster, it’s how it affects the government’s ability to control people’s behavior. After all, if they can order people to stay inside, not go to restaurants, wear silly face diapers, fold their arms and walk like a chicken, that’s what is important. Dance, little people!
I’m not convinced on the booster yet as well except in select groups. If reformulated I might be more inclined. Most of the drs I know who care for covid as I do see it that way, too

Covid-19 is the democrats best friend at the moment, and they aim to keep it as the number one issue for the next year and perhaps longer. Covid-19 allows democrats to pass bills and spend money like crazy and control the American population. Best friend ever to democrats.

Biden will not listen. He is not intelligent enough to take advice. He can always say ‘I do not remember anyone telling me that’.

Same thing happened at FDA. 16 of the expert panel voted against the booster and 2 for. Head of the FDA approved the booster.
