Kellog wants their workers to be able to afford the products they make.
>>An average of 120,000 a year???!
An ‘average’ means nothing, median would be more telling - one ceo making a billion a year and everyone else make $15/hour would skew ‘the average’ quite a bit.
I have no idea what the median is at Kellog, but doubt its anywhere near $120K
FWIW I always heard that a lot of the price of a box of cereal is advertising, and not ingredients.
I want my Maypo!
But seriously, who eats this crap anyway?
Correct...in a matter of weeks, a study will be complete and a factory ready to purchase will be on the projects list.
Why we need import tariffs to stop that from happening.
LOL!
I still remember the “uit-fray oops-lay” jingle. I should have better stuff in my head.
This is great! Maybe now I can get my homemade Rice Krispies into production and steal market share!!!
Seriously though...you can indeed make them at home.
Do the homemade ones talk as the store bought ones do?
I just looked up how to make them at home. Looks like a lot of work, but may be well worth it...I just cringe at washing dishes. LOL
2 eggs over easy, hashbrowns, bacon, rye toast and lashings of hot sauce please...
FFFFfffff You Tony!
I think I found out where the $120,000 a year salary is coming from.
My buddy did just that, when Raytheon told him he had to submit to CRT training.
The war starts if there is no more Raisin Bran!
My job works me 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week, too. And all I get is 2 four-hour breaks per day!
Re: 15 - Now THAT is funny and worth noting.
I wonder if these workers get free cereal as part of the job.
“It’s mostly from over-time.
12 hour days 6 days a week.
They make approx $20-$24 an hour”
If that’s accurate it is one poorly run company and/or management has let the Union back them in a corner in prior contracts in regards to hiring. (or lack of in lieu of paying time and a half and double time)
Re: 39 - Eh, they will pay what the market will bear. If it’s not enough, workers will go elsewhere.
But what a racket. a lots of kids I suppose “hooked” on sugary cereals.
