A prospective Russian hypersonic missile has been successfully test-fired from a nuclear submarine for the first time, the military said Monday.
The Russian Defense Ministry said that the Severodvinsk submarine performed two launches of the Zircon cruise missile at mock targets in the Barents Sea.
It first test-fired Zircon from the surface, and then launched another missile from a submerged position in the White Sea.

This is a first strike missile, very dangerous.

It appears to have as much visibility and thermal signature as a ballistic missile, which is also faster. So what’s the big advantage?
No, they are ahead of most of the world in this type of missile technology. Matter of fact the United States is playing catch-up to other countries when it comes to hypersonic missiles.
India, for instance, already deploys a hypersonic missile, the Brahmos. It was jointly developed with Russia.
The Zircon is even more advanced.
Sarcasm aside, it won't be the Russians that nuke DC.
Why would they? What political entity is doing a better job of destroying the US Military and it's ability to defend Freedom and Liberty?
All the Russians have to do is wait patiently without being provoked.

Here’s an update on our progress; Raytheon just had a successful hypersonic missile test recently.
Is that the one they tested during the Trump administration? Yes we have hypersonic missiles.
