The English Touring Opera (ETO) has fired half of its musicians in order to increase the diversity in its ensemble, resulting in the dismissal of 14 White people between 40 and 66 years of age. They were all informed that they will not be offered any new contracts for the new season beginning in spring 2022.

What really happened is they fired all the OLD musicians (who become expensive to get health insurance for) and used “diversity” as a coverup excuse.

All of this affirmative action on steroids has created a world driven by cognitive dissonance. I feel like vomiting at the insanity that has been pushed into all the finest, the not so fine, and the mediocre of the world’s institutions - making them all become much lesser than they were.
Beef up education so everyone who has talent and discipline can succeed. Choose the best musicians you can find for what you can pay them. This is insane. Beef up music education everywhere and pay good teachers who know their musics and talented musicians to become music educators a great salary so that they’ll make it a career or do it part time. The music is what counts, not the color of the hands and lips that make the magic.
One might just get the thought that there are people who want to eliminate Whitey.
This is a great idea. Maybe they could apply this logic to the NBA.
Decades ago, I worked for Disney. They figured EVERY person in eye contact with the park guests were entertainers and so ALL of these people had to audition for their jobs every 6 months. Actors, table cleaners, servers, park janitors..
Thus, if you had acquired some weight, or some age or a tattoo that was not to their liking, why, by golly, you just never passed the audition. But feel free to come back and try again in 6 months.
