Monoclonals are being used downstairs sometimes on the early/mid covids. IWhen they are used, I’m told they have worked very well. Our ICU hasn’t had any patient come to us who have failed early monoclonal infusions that I’m aware of. I heard of one monoclonal infusion that was done on a patient in our unit..not sure of what happened as i was away.(some one thought the patient improved and transferred out)
We are trying out some new -vir products,one we are hoping will slow down the immune system from destroying the lungs at the same time it it trying to kill covid..and any bacteria pneumonia.
I’ll be curious if we see the derisively named “pfizermectin” pill which I understand is a repacked and reblended form of Ivermectin to be used for prophylaxis and early covid.
