Macron and Putin are fountains of wisdom compared to the leaders of this nation.

Well, I hope she renounces the policies that have led to this point and acknowledges that positions such as hers have been part of problem.

What is hugely ironic is that a majority of the philosophical underpinning of the “woke” movement was a product of French “intellectuals” such as Paul de Man and Jacques Derrida.

Let’s not forget the Italian contribution via Antonio Gramsci.
And the German help via The School of Marxism at Frankfurt.
Both were very much in demand at our Ivy League schools during the ‘50s and still now.

(equivocation is but the first step along the road to capitulation)
More than a little too late; it’d been overwhelming France for at least the last 50 years.

A lot of it has to do with the fact that the French love their culture and especially, their language.
Remember when President Trump was criticized for wanting a military parade in D.C. on Independence Day? He attended the Bastille Day parade in Paris where the French showed pride in their military and their nation’s history. He thought it would be a nice thing for America to do. Of course he was labeled a dictator for even having the idea. Imagine showing pride in America and its history.
