I’m Moderna fully vaccinated as is my wife. How many months after our last shot can we expect to live?

A better question might be;

"I’m Moderna fully vaccinated as is my wife. How many years after our last shot can we expect possible adverse side effects to occur?

You mean our lives will be spared and we’ll just have to face “possible adverse side effects”? Wow… this is getting better and better.

The answer to that is no one knows. Anywhere from immediately to never.

At the start of 2020 Moderna had 9 mRNA based drugs in trials, 8 in initial (phase 1) human trials, 1 in phase 2.

Then came covid and the panic. They created their mRNA based covid 19 vaccine in days after receiving the genetic sequence data for covid. Not conspiracy theory - they proudly proclaim it. Given that various sources report the sequencing complete between the end of January 2020 and early June 2020 we can estimate Moderna got started in March. A few days to prepare it, maybe a couple of weeks to manufacture enough initial examples for a trial... We do know that they got EUA from the FDA in mid December, and that they presented about 4 months worth of phase 1 & phase 2 data. So backing up from that say 5 months - 1 month of phase 1 and 4 months of phase 2. That means they started with their final version somewhere around the beginning of July. That means for 3 months or so they were spinning on first/second/third/etc. attempts.

Their vaccine was rushed through phase 1 and phase 2 trials and given an emergency use authorization. It is now in-effect in phase 3 of an experimental drug trial. Granted, this drug trial is now being carried out on roughly 100,000,000 people instead of the usual 20,000 to 50,000.

As for adverse side effects... There are typical immediate side effects from your immune system being kicked into action. How strong/long depends on your immune system's response to the stimulus. Apparently that is all over the map, depends on if you've previously had covid, etc. Then there are the maybe mild or not-so-mild allergic reactions to some of the components of the injection.

Long term? Who knows. Only a handful of people have had mRNA injections. There are 20,000 or 30,000 people who have had them a little over a year now. Of course we no-longer have a well-studied control group (placebo shot) since after the EUA was granted the control group was offered (and most took) the real shot. So we're developing the long-term effects data right now. There's no basis to say you'll be dead in a couple of years, but no real basis to say you won't be either.

The mRNA instructions to the immune system seems like a pretty straightforward shortcut of the process. In fact it is a wildly exciting technology with a lot of promise. However, there are still serious questions. Can the mRNA "message" or program get garbled in manufacturing? Garbled or changed in transmission to the cells? Misunderstood by the cells? What percentage of someone's immune system goes off doing something slightly off from that which was intended? How dangerous is that?

Hopefully (for the sake of the tens of millions in the experiments) the answers to these questions are basically virtually nil. But any time you artificially tweak your body, particularly your immune system, it may react in unpredictable ways. A "typical" auto-immune condition takes 3 to 5 years to present fully and be diagnosed. If we've accidentally triggered something like that, we won't know for several more years.

Normally this is the kind of thing learned in phases 3 & 4 of drug trials. That way if/when a drug therapy is approved it will have the usual caveats and "contraindications" so that healthcare professionals can recommend it (or not) to certain individuals. There are always some people who should not take certain drugs. Always. No drug, no vaccine is universally tolerated. When people say everyone should get vaccinated they are wrong. The vaccines will kill some people. The vaccines will cause disabilities in some people. Guaranteed. Who or why? Don't know yet. At what rate/percentage? Don't know yet.

These last several sentences - these are exactly why I do not want the vaccine. I want to make an informed choice based on real information on risks vs rewards - not based on guesses and assumptions. This is why I believe it is wrong, wrong on a inhumane scale akin to that of Nazi experimentation, to force people into taking the vaccines. "Oh, no-one is forcing you to take one..." Bull. Every week new restrictions are announced. Eventually the only way to live without having been forced to take a vaccine will be to live alone in a cabin in the woods. Hunt, fish, and grow your own foods, never travel across state lines. That's where the fascists are headed - forcing everyone into the experiment while claiming no-one has to take it. If no-one is being forced, then why all the coercive actions?
