This is very simple:
The Democrats are the Evil Party.
The Republicans are the Stupid Party.
All else is explained by these statements.
There is no room for partisan moderators. Republican candidates would be better off holding their own Q & A session on a webisode.
They learned from the best bunch of losers on the planet the washington dc GOP which make the French look like the US military in WWII.
If the GOP offers no clear choice what’s the point? And continually letting the leftist propaganda mouthpieces moderate debates at this point says the GOP wants to lose. Can any person be this damned stupid?

It's one thing to be clueless about 'organizing' it's another thing to be clueless about being played for a sucker over and over and over again.
I suspect McAwful only agreeded to the debate if he had a ringer Moderator.
In any event McAwful performed poorly and gave Youngkin more ammo.
