And they exchanged the truth of God for lies, and they revered and served created things more than their Creator,
When the world gets to the point where it loves lies, there will be hatred for the truth
People who have been fed a steady diet of lies and deception, who have had their minds hooked up to the steady diet of deception have no tolerance whatsoever for the truth anymore. Even when offered the truth thorugh God’s word, they prefer lies, and will hate the ones trying to give them the truth. (Just had a relative, when confronted with the fact of false ballots in Arizona say “do not send me anymore of these articles, I choose not to beleive In alternative facts” (I immediately saw the money with their hands over their eyes, saying ‘I see no evil’)
“and with all unrighteous deception among those who perish, because they did not receive the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this reason God will send them strong delusion, that they should believe the lie, that they all may be condemned who did not believe the truth but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

The level of madness in the world today is approaching the demonic.
Your relative could be my sister. I happened to mention the adverse effects database and she screamed at me to stop spouting right wing propaganda because she ‘follows the science’. I think that ‘follow the science’ was a very clever marketing idea because if you disagree with what they consider ‘The Science’, you’re automatically a rube with no intelligence because you’re not “Following The Science”. Clever strategy.
Reminds me years ago that the southern end of Kauai decided to market itself as ‘The Sunny Side of the Island’. Well, what did that leave to the other sides of the island: you guessed it, ‘non-sunny’. Statistically no difference in rainfall between north and south sides of the island, but the south had cleverly given itself the moniker ‘sunny side’. Many many travel clients told me they wanted to stay on the ‘sunny side’, not the rainy side of the island.
So, claiming to ‘follow the science’ is analogous. No relation to truth, but it’s clever.
