I don’t see the slightest evidence she in insane. Probably irresponsible. A bad decision here and there doesn’t make you insane.
And by the way, if she’s irresponsible, how does it make sense to put the man who raised her to be that way, in charge of her life?

Her father agreed to step aside. My guess is that if she goes seriously off the rails he will try to insert himself again.

Appreciate your comments DR.
It is interesting how people will just go with the first reports they hear without checking facts. I have no connection to this person or her family so I welcome any correction and thanks.

Britney herself commented on her own struggle with bipolar disorder in 2012. I have no ability diagnose her myself for obvious reasons, but it is at least fair to say she is or has been bipolar. Is this “insane”? I am not sure what is meant by that word, which is why in therapy and in courts they must use accurate terminology. Reading between the lines, when people say she is insane or crazy, they mean that she has some mental health issue that prevents her from taking care of herself. It is entirely possible that what she has described is a sane person’s reaction to the particular stress to which she was being subjected at that time.

Some say she has Dissociative Identity Disorder. When she was dating a British boyfriend around the time of her custody stand-off when she refused to turn over Sean to K-Fed, her friends reported her speaking in a British accent. From the Evening Standard, so take it for what it is worth,
“Friends of the singer said Britney has been showing different personalities, including “the British girl”, “the weepy girl”, “the diva” and “the incoherent girl”.

There is a televised interview with Diane Sawyer which seems to show her switching between identities. FreeBritney activists including the hosts of The View believe that Sawyer edited the interview to make Britney look bad and are demanding Sawyer apologize. I watched a YouTube of that interview narrated by someone with diagnosed multiple personality disorder who was very sympathetic to her, but confirmed the condition. Is this “insane”? Well nowadays you can describe someone with a condition as high-functioning or not.

But she shaved her head! That’s crazy!! She thought that her hair was going to be used in a drug test. If she tested positive she would lose the boys. There was no test, and she did lose the boys anyway. If true, then it is an admission she was using and deserved to lose custody, but it is most certainly NOT insane. It is a reasonable, at least understandable though desperate reaction to Federline’s threat.

I don’t know why I am interested in this, but I appreciate your contribution.
