United Airlines is set to terminate 593 of its employees who have chosen not to comply with the company’s vaccine mandate, the company confirmed to The Epoch Times early Wednesday.
The United executives told staff that more than 99 percent of domestic employees “chose to get vaccinated, excluding those who submitted for an accommodation.”
“For the less than 1% of people who decided to not get vaccinated, we’ll unfortunately begin the process of separation from the airline per our policy,” the memo reads. “This was an incredibly difficult decision but keeping our team safe has always been our first priority. The pandemic is now killing more than 2,000 people per day—a 65% increase in just the past 30 days—and the most effective way to keep our people safe, is to make sure they’re vaccinated.”

That’s a lot of people in all areas of airline operations. The airline will lose billions in revenue without 593 employees, until new vaxxed ones can be hired and trained. Sad situation.

They’ll. Just raise prices on fewer flights and collect the nice fat subsidies from Uncle Joe and his pals in DC!
Not easy to go out and hire qualified replacement employees who have been injected.
This will no doubt lead to happier customers.
Wanna bet Deep Stare is funneling United money for doing this.
And, if so, Congress is cool with it.

That’s OK, the only flying I’ll be doing the rest of my life is Flight Simulator. Unless I can 3D print/other my own, or Mr. Scott/other creates a transporter.

My airline pilot friend says the planes are half empty anyway so they can afford to push the shots for now. He’s unvaccinated but his airline hasn’t cracked down yet.
This is not about health. The Security Exchange Commission and the Department of Labor need to investigate United Airlines because they’re using the cover of COVID to affect a layoff without having to announce one because they don’t want the announcement to impact their stock price.
Depends on how you measure it.
2000 per day out of a US population of 350 million? Or, 2000 per day out of a worldwide population of 7.9 billion.
Either way, it’s an amazingly small percentage compared to the total population.
Require all those getting entitlements to be vaccinated.
