We need John Effing Kerry the Vietnam war hero to start dialog with the Taliban. Maybe he can get the Taliban to give back the gear. His first offer will be BILLIONS of $$ and then work upward.
The different units were lied to. They were told they were being rotated out, with the idea that a replacement unit was coming in. They were moved in the dead of night, no prep time, and no forewarning. They got their personal gear and personal weapons, and moved out. They probably didn’t know the whole story till they got back to home base and found out.
This was a totally rigged withdrawal KNOWING the enemy would get the stuff.
It means President Joe Biden ’s threat of future “over the horizon” attacks launched against terrorists without having a permanent Afghan base are battered.
That’s a VERY key paragraph. And yet, we see this in UK papers, but nary a word from anything US based.

It doesn’t seem to be so “secret”, does it?
