MSNBC staffers are panicking over the direction of the left-leaning news network under newly-minted President Rashida Jones, fearing that she’s gearing up for a costly and potentially disastrous battle with CNN, The Post has learned.
Staffers say recent meetings with Jones and her boss, NBCUniversal news chief Cesar Conde, have focused on hard news — with the execs boasting of ratings wins over CNN on breaking stories...

So, it’s a fight about who can go the farthest left, and who can lie outright the most.
Any newsreader can read the “hard” news a lot cheaper than highly paid media personalities can comment on it. It sounds more like a cost cutting measure. No wonder the people who call themselves media personalities are worried. If they lose this job flipping burgers would be the next best one they are qualified for.
They all get their talking points from the same place - they won’t venture too far from their assigned moorings.
Amazing the owning telecom conglomerates are never mentioned.
