Yeah pretty transparent. Thugs in command culture don't have to work at being subtle...no one challenges them. Kind of like being a democrat here with our suck up press...

BBC reported “10,000 died” according to UK documents. That guy standing in front the tank was never definitively proven to have survived.

BBC report is less than half of the number the Chinese who were there reported - the BBC reporters where under fire at the time and unable to accurately report. Those were only the immediate dead on the Square from the 48 hours of continuous automatic and heavy weapons fire. Local aid stations and hospitals were closed to all but the PLA soldiers, forcing make shift and impromptu aid stations.
How many later died of wounds, and how many others were taken by the PAP (People’s Armed Police), is unknown and now unknowable.
The thousands of dead protestors and local PLA militia soldiers, all the civilians on the roadways, apartment buildings, passing cars, buses were not counted in BBC reports. Corpses on or near the Square were flattened by tracked vehicles, bulldozed into piles, burned and the residue pressure hosed down the sewers.
The mechanized brigade of PLA soldiers called in were labeled ‘mountain troops’ as they were from some mountain province with little or no communication with the outside world, were poorly educated or not at all, heavily indoctrinated by CCP prior to deployment into believing the protestors and the local PLA militia were terrorists and deserved death. (Many of the local PLA militia sided with the students).

Wiki is a poor source for report on most things and especially on things which make fellow travelers look bad.
There were eyewitness who saw the ‘tank’ man being pursued by the PAP and beaten to death. Sorry, I no longer have a link, as it was on a YouTube video taken during that time and now long deleted as part of the leftist campaign to rewrite history.
This is the lesson that the Chinese people learned about the CCP and keeps most of them from crossing the line in any direct way. That, and the prevalence of scams, makes ignoring the plight of others a necessary survival trait.
Chinese killings....
Thanks for that highly informative post.
I hope many people here read it and learn from it. Gruesome.
P.S. “Elon Musk Praises Chinese” on MSNBC site today.
Musk said the automaker Tesla will continue to expand its investments in the country.
It’s the second time this month Musk was highly complimentary of the nation that’s imperative to his electric vehicle company, saying it’s a “global leader in digitalization.”
