The US is heading into its greatest political and constitutional crisis since the Civil War, with a reasonable chance over the next three to four years of incidents of mass violence, a breakdown of federal authority, and the division of the country into warring red and blue enclaves.... The warning signs may be obscured by the distractions of politics, the pandemic, the economy and global crises, and by wishful thinking and denial. But about these things there should be no doubt:
First, Trump will be the Rep. candidate for president in 2024...He enjoys mammoth leads in the polls; he is building a massive campaign war chest. Barring health problems, he is running.
Second, Trump and his Rep. allies are preparing to ensure his victory by whatever means necessary...
... in 14 months if, as seems likely, the Rep. zombie party wins control of the House. At that point, with the political winds clearly blowing in his favor, Trump is all but certain to announce his candidacy, and social media constraints on his speech are likely to be lifted, since Facebook and Twitter would have a hard time justifying censoring his campaign. With his megaphone back, Trump would again dominate news, as outlets prove unable to resist covering him around the clock if only for financial reasons.
But this time, Trump would have advantages lacked in 2016 and 2020, including more loyal officials in state and local governments; the Republicans in Congress; and the backing of GOP donors, think tanks and journals of opinion. And he will have the Trump movement, including many who are armed and ready to be activated, again. Who is going to stop him then? On its current trajectory, the 2024 Republican Party will make the 2020 Republican Party seem positively defiant.

Although I don’t agree with all the writer states it is nonetheless a very interesting read.
BS!...unless this past so called election if FIXED to its proper result there are no elections.
Thanks a lot.
“social media constraints on his speech are likely to be lifted, since Facebook and Twitter would have a hard time justifying censoring his campaign. “
Oh, yeah? I wouldn’t bet my life on that.
I do agree, though, with the author that Trump’s election 2024 will a watershed even for the country. The establishment left never accepted Trump’s victory in 2016, and hounded and vilified the man from Day Zero. A second term will be all that on steroids.

“will be a watershed event”
I’m willing to wait and see regarding Facebook and Twitter.....there’s a large number of significant people who are fed up and fighting against both...that remains to be seen.
They think people electing whom they want is a crisis.
I have been expecting this, since the 70s. What I can’t figure out is, why it hasn’t happened yet?
It’s a crisis to them, if they are communists. 😊
Constitutional Crisis is what to do when the audits in key states prove that Biden really WAS “elected” by fraud.
This article amounts to high school-level hysteria. The main premise: that Trump is unique in American history is absurd.
It’s repetitive nonsense without any facts or foundation about Trump’s alleged political & civic crimes.
A call to get the old band together to “fortify” the election again.
Possibly so....however thus far I’m not convinced that’s going to be proven sufficiently for any action. As we’ve already seen courts can strangle any of that indefinitely without blinking an eye.
The world is controlled in the interest of 2,100 oligarch billionaires by gigantic corporations Vanguard BlackRock and State Street. They will not allow Trump to win. They will risk a civil war of limited scope in the United States in order to kill him.
I couldn’t get past the first three lies they wrote.

To say the snarky antagonism in the excerpt is misleading?
What a surprise. I looked the author of this article up & low & behold it’s the neocon slob & Hillary Clinton voter Robert Kagan who quit the GOP in 2016 because of Orange-Man-Bad.
