IIRC, she worked for the state or one of the counties around Detroit and was detailing how it’s all done in Detroit and a few other places. This lady was legit and had all the facts. Chief Craig was one of the better police chiefs that we’ve seen in this area in many years. He kept things relatively under control last year when rioting BLM demonstrators were eating other cities alive. He talks a good game when it comes to crime and law & order. And he seems to have support from a lot of suburbanites, like me.
That said, I believe he’s probably a lifelong Democrat, and he’s running as Republican, because he does care about the city and he wants to keep the people safe. Doesn’t mean that he’s a conservative but he appears to be right on some important issues.
Not a perfect candidate, but he has my vote, and my wife’s, at least at this early juncture.
Election is over a year away. Polls now are marginally more worthless than polls a year from now will be.
