It is a sin to live in a state of fear and/or worry. Both show a lack of faith in God almighty.

What the hell happened to the Americans?

Government education. They have catechized kids for three decades to be terrified of everything from global warming to white men in vans - COVID was just the cherry on top.

I used to say, semi-jokingly, that people are the worst kind. Little did I know.

Good statement.

I guess maybe we could apply the same principle to intra-US travel. Pick the places that seem most sane. I.e., avoid liberal areas. I can verify my lib area is too insanely paranoid.

MayI ask how you mean “medical trans” and “demands from medical facilities”?

I’m curious if your experience correlates with mine, as a patient. It’s not fun being a patient in the hysteria. As if the ailments we can have aren’t bad enough, this plague hysteria makes it much more stressful.

It is 'non-emergency' medical transportation, that is, I'd pick up clients and drive them to their various appointments, which ranged from simple tests i.e. colonoscopy, chemo or dental to taking some to out-patient surgeries. When finished I would pick them up and drive them home.

When Covid hit and after President Trump declared a state of emergency (huge mistake imho), the hospitals immediately issued dictates regarding coming 'on the premises'. Must mask up! Cannot go into the building unless you have a firm appointment! etc.

One of the hospitals, early on, was expecting a 'surge' in patients and so, they actually built a temporary structure to accommodate the influx of people (which never happened). They ended up taking it down about 4 months later. It just was never used. But the hysteria continues in the area, mostly from politicians and leftist doctors/nurses and of course the democrat population.

Every week, the local newspapers print 'letters to the editor', excoriating those who have not gotten the jab. We're lower than whale dung. Of course they never print letters written from the other side. Only those from the hysterical.

I 'retired' in June of 2020 because of the b.s. Was sick of seeing the cowering and the irrational reaction to the virus.

I could go on about my experiences with medical in this nonsense.

From my own visits (or NOT) to various doctors for chronic problems to the death of my MIL from COVID itself!

In some ways it’s like unless you’re COVID, you’re back of the bus…but still, with actual COVID, you’re treated poorly! It’s like they really don’t want to treat anyone! The cooties are too insurmountable!
