I’ve been on this board 6 years longer than you moron, just under a new handle to keep my work from searching me. If thats the best Texas has got, no wonder the state is f’d up. You dont wait for an invasion of thousands to happen before the optics from the press start hurting your poll numbers and then you act. DeSantis is an exacmple of a real leader. Enjoy your windmill powered winter! Go Huffines!
“I’ve been on this board 6 years longer than you moron, just under a new handle to keep my work from searching me.”
Well same here. I’ve been here under another name since 1806. So, you’re still a newb.
“If thats the best Texas has got, no wonder the state is f’d up. You dont wait for an invasion of thousands to happen before the optics from the press start hurting your poll numbers and then you act.”
I don’t find your argument persuasive when it is based on worrying about pleasing the media and “optics”. No matter what conservatives do, the left will give us a bad report.
“DeSantis is an exacmple of a real leader.”
We agree on DeSantis.
“Enjoy your windmill powered winter!”
There is a place for wind power in our energy supply, but there are only some areas where it makes sense. Diversifying our energy portfolio is a good thing. Wind accounts for about 20% of our power while natural gas provides almost half. It was the natural gas part that was the main point of failure in the recent grid disruption.
Texas is an oil state. We are the only state in the continental US with a power grid that is independent and thus not federally regulated. It is difficult to balance cost-savings for consumers with reliability during major storms.
Florida is not a border state. It’s a lot easier to deal with people escaping communist Cuba by water than mobs of thousands storming a porous border with a lawless federal government working with globalists to destroy American sovereignty. Short of a revolution, securing the border is not entirely possible. The current administration is ONLY interested in enabling illegals to enter our borders unencumbered. And Texas does not have the full legal authority to enforce our immigration laws.
We also have a Democrat problem in Texas, but we are still a red state. We have made progress on protecting the unborn and voter rights.
“Go Huffines!”
As a Texas resident I should be more up-to-date on who is running for state office. I’m very open to the idea that Huffines might be able to do a better job than our current governor.
