“Ford up to 1948 had “transmission U-joints’ on their vehicles!”

Up thru 1948 Ford used a Torque Tube Design with Drive Shaft totally enclosed with just one U-joint at the Transmission and a ridgid connection at the rear axle with no U-joint.

Later vehicles use an open Driveshaft with 2 or more U-joints.

Absolutely!
My Dad owned Model A ,33,49,53,56,60.
I owned 32,33,34,46,47,56,60Bird. Worked on all of them.
Not knocking Ford but now driving 97 Chev, C3500 CC, dually; 48k odometer.
