Riot police have moved in to disperse crowds at the Melbourne headquarters of the CFMEU, after a protest against mandatory vaccines turned ugly, with the union blaming “outside extremists” for the violence.
Police used pepper spray and rubber bullets to move the crowd, which took over the intersection outside the Queen Victoria Market.
Bottles were thrown at the already smashed glass entrance doors to the building in Melbourne’s city centre as those protecting the entry sought refuge indoors just before 4pm.
Protesters also seemed to be turning against each other, with a number of small fights breaking out within the crowd of bright orange and yellow.

“The CFMEU will always advocate for safety, jobs, and freedom of choice.”
Earlier on Monday, hundreds of construction workers wearing high-vis, and their supporters, stormed the building, protesting against new mandatory vaccination rules for the building industry.

Independent and mainstream journalists accuse Victoria Police of targeting them at the latest lockdown protest in Melbourne.
Video has emerged showing officers pepper-spraying several members of the press who posed no risk to police.
One photographer from The Age newspaper said he doesn’t mind if he’s accidentally hit, but the fact police purposely walked up and sprayed him in the face is frightening.
Jason Edwards, who was there for the Herald Sun, also claims police assaulted him.
Police arrested at least one journalist who was later let go...

CFMEU is considered extreme left, so the MSM narrative is now that the protest was hijacked by far-right extremists & anti-vaxxers!!!

He warns that some may get hurt, and some may die. There's no easy way through this, but there are no suitable alternatives to freedom.
Prayers up for all who love freedom.

and now comes the PUNISHMENT:
20 Sept: The Age, Melbourne: Construction industry to be shut down for two weeks after clashes at CFMEU
By Ben Schneiders and Paul Sakkal; With Carolyn Webb and Nick Bonyhady
Victoria’s building industry will be shut for two weeks after a day of unprecedented protests at the construction union’s head office, with windows smashed, projectiles thrown at senior officials and riot police closing down a major city street.
Some critical infrastructure works, such as hospitals and some ongoing level crossing removal projects, will continue during the shutdown that starts from midnight.
Three industry and union stakeholders have told The Age they had been informed that the Andrews government will announce the industry closure on Monday night.
The Master Builders Association of Victoria confirmed the shutdown in a Facebook post on Monday night, saying the two-week closure would begin from 11.59pm...
Late on Monday afternoon a group of workers moved towards the building’s rear entrance where CFMEU officials stood gesticulating at protesters.
Projectiles were thrown and scuffles broke out before some of the protesters ran from the scene claiming a union official was holding a gun. Dozens of riot police then moved to separate the two groups and deployed rubber bullets. The Age has not verified if a firearm was at the scene.
About half an hour later, riot police began moving down Elizabeth and Victoria streets in unison firing rubber bullets and tear gas to disperse the group, causing the demonstration to fizzle out.
The Age witnessed three men hit with rubber bullets, including one who suffered a hand injury and another bleeding from his face...
Police defended not arriving at the scene until late in the day, saying the “crowd grew increasingly hostile”. Another rally was being promoted for Tuesday at the CFMEU office by anti-vaccination activists on messaging service Telegram...
One flyer distributed to members said: “Our rights and conditions are under threat, there is a core group of members within union delegates and within members who believe this attack on our conditions and rights should not be allowed.”
“We will no longer sit in the dark, this is our union, our city and we will take it back if need be.”...
