Yes, but how is it that these local school boards have become so unrepresentative of the local population? How have almost all of the institutions today become dominated by the left? The pushback has to be broader than just one superintendent.

Getting elected to school boards are the entry level jobs for future career Democrat politicians and party officials. That’s why so many 20 somethings run for it.
It is where they get their first taste of campaigning, glad handing, schmoozing, bartering favors and name recognition within the periphery of the party.
When the party wants a certain individual to be Supervisor, the higher ups in the party remember which board members voted the way they wanted.
