Defendants, including North Carolina House Speaker Timothy Moore, failed to show that racial discrimination was not a substantial or motivating factor behind enactment of the law, Superior Court Judges Michael O’Foghludha and Vince Rozier Jr., both Democrats, wrote in (a 102-page ruling) permanently blocking the measure.

That makes absolutely zero sense. BTW, isn't North Carolina turning into another DC occupied shit-hole?

You cannot prove a negative. This is idiocy.

And yes, my state is indeed turning into another DC occupied shit-hole.

Why would the republicans have to prove that the law wasn’t written with racist motives; the burden of proof is on the plaintiffs. Furthermore, how would you even go about proving such a thing?

"failed to show that racial discrimination was not a substantial or motivating factor behind enactment of the law."

He failed to show that he stopped beating his wife.

Charlotte and the Research Triangle are where that’s happening.

As is the norm, a few densely populated areas are controlling everything else.

I wonder if the legislature wrote their own law or copied one from one of the states that already has voter id?

This is a state district court. Now onto the state court of appeals or supreme court...whatever they have in NC.

” BTW, isn't North Carolina turning into another DC occupied shit-hole?”

Only the big cities. Out in the rural and up here in the mountains (with exception of the hippies in Asheville, we are still conservative.
