“Prayers for the Capitol Police officers who lost their lives in the aftermath of January 6th...for the many people who died on January 6th...”

“I’d like a moment of silence for the Americans and the police officers who perished on January 6th...”

Good thing I already knew what this rally was about or I’d have stopped watching right there.

It’s all well to deplore “political violence,” too, but there’s a lot of it going around and historically, the only thing that makes it stop is counter violence.

I think we are well beyond the point of peacefully urging the government to do right by its political prisoners. Why should it?

Did someone at the rally actually say that? "Many" people died on January 6th? Three or four of natural causes, and Ashli Babbitt, who was shot by police. There is more violence on a typical weekend in Chicago. There was more violence at many BLM rallies.
