Japan humiliated Russia - completely opened a can on them in 1905 until Roosevelt had to say No Mas on Russia's behalf.

We HAD to nuke Japan, otherwise invading the island would have costed over a million American lives. That's how tough Japan is.

They have the 4th largest navy in the world.

They have the most modern of US tech.

They have martial culture and experience.

They can and will fight.

China still fears them, in spite of their BS bluster.

Not so tough today, cause we had it our way.

Beginning to wonder how tough we are today.

I’m pretty sure that the only reason Japan is not a nuclear power is the fact they do not have the weapons assembled.

Japan has one of the largest stockpiles of plutonium in the world.

The design of modern plutonium weapons is known to many..

Japan certainly has the machining and electronic skill to assemble working designs...not just simple implosion fission weapons but the boosted designs and thermonuclear designs.

The simplest design would be a gun-type enriched uranium device...Japan is way beyond that... that is what Iran might be able to turn out soon.
