Is that the old argument over Kimoi and Matsu (sp?)??
The ‘correlation of forces’ has shifted decidedly in China’s favor. The US has never been more vulnerable than it is now, with no effective leadership. China reasonably has concluded that the US is a blind, headless giant—no better time than the present to make its move..
I think you’ll find it’ll be the other way around.
What a lot of people don't realize, is that the Chinese government has indoctrinated their people to hate the Japanese. Lots of propaganda to fire up their citizens to want to kill Japanese. You see a lot of that in Chinese movies, with bad guys always portrayed as Japanese.
The Japanese do not hate the Chinese . They are everywhere in Japan , even in rural Kumamoto City where I live they are working in factories , etc...Nobody cares . I sometimes run into them when I take my afternoon walk and they greet me - an American - in Japanese.
The JDF Navy needs flattops.
Nah.The JMSDF has some of the World’s quietest diesel subs, where as everything the Chinese tend to build is noisy as all get out. If the Japanese get their Subs out before an conflict, the Chinese are going to have allot of ships on the bottom.
Thanks for the update, I didn't know that many Chinese are working in Japan. Figured that's the case for Koreans, but not Chinese. I've seen reports of Japanese in China being bullied - good to know that the Japanese don't do that. The war was a long time ago. My dad was part of the initial US occupation forces in Tokyo in 1945, and lived there for almost 5 years overseeing neighborhoods in Tokyo. People were friendly, and told him the war was over and so was the animosity. My two oldest sisters were born there. My wife is Chinese-American, but her family doesn't hate Japanese. It's a thing pushed by the communist regime.
