There’s a photo of a 100 QUINTILLION pengő note on the “Hungarian pengő” page of Wikipedia.
By the time the new forint was introduced, the exchange rate was 400 OCTILLION to 1 - that’s 400,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.
Behold our future.

You know you’re in trouble when the regime is working to bury this with coverage of the debacle in Afghanistan, vaccine authoritarianism and the CCP/Milley treachery.

Biden is batting 1000! Can we survive another 3.5 years at this rate?

Great information, but California has one of the highest, if not THE highest costs of living in the country, yet voters there obviously do not connect those terrible economic conditions to the Democrat Party that has ruled the state for decades. I am not normally a ‘Debbie Downer,’ but do believe the country is all but lost.

Good thing Washington can blame Trump for everything, right? I mean, really, who else might be responsible for the change in consumer “attitudes and fears” since Jan 20?

Bought a few london broils for a birthday dinner. Smaller & fattier than a year ago.
My rhetorical question is, who is getting the all the good cuts of meat?

Good. My thoughts exactly.
I'm hoping for a starvation event, and I'm not kidding.
America needs a reckoning... and to lose a few million of the useless eaters who are destroying us.

The problem is you can’t even get them. Our refrigerator was more than 100 days in coming.
We bought new everything this year and bought quality first because we were aware of ridiculous incoming prices.

I am investing in groceries. Cases of anything shelf stable that may become unavailable. Coffee, peanut butter, soups and canned meat. Not a big fan of spam but will welcome it for breakfast if SHTF. Can’t munch on dollar bills.

Trump is not totally without fault. He signed the huge spending bills last year and was never really was focused on stopping deficit spending. If he had been allowed to continue to bring manufacturing back, the tax revenue combined with fewer dependents might have made a difference.
