Just try this in the winter...
Hey, if a bird get sucked into one of those engines it will come out perfectly cooked .... i.e. your goose is cooked
>>Trucked again. All of that required fossil fuels.
How is that carbon-neutral?<<
They use the same measurement methods they do when measuring gretta von bratnfinger’s carbon footprint when they jet her to places to yell and wag her uneducated finger at grown ups.
Yep, it will gel and turn to vegetable shortening.
Substituting one hydrocarbon for a different hydrocarbon? How much savings could there be? This sounds more live a “victory” for recycling than reducing co2 emission.
The first diesel was designed to run on peanut oil.
We don’t know why the planes keep crashing. Maybe we should use more oil.
Didn’t 5 of their pilots die after getting the clot shot?
It’s all about the feelz
No, jet fuel is kerosene.
On the descending refinery list you have jet, gasoline, and diesel
Couple of basic questions for the promoters of this nonsense.
1) at 35-65 Jet A, how much more/or less fuel was consumed in said flight?
2) what was the increase/decrease in oxides of nitrogen (NOx) emitted
3) What became of the glycerin and other tailings from your conversion process?
Great that the plane made the flight and didn’t experience any malfunctions related to the Bio-Jet A. This is a nice victory that proves you can convert vegetable oil into Jet fuel and that it works.
However, converting used oil is one thing, re-directing food crops to fuel production is not an ideal use for those resources. They may be renewable, up to a point, but famines and other lean times due to crop failure can have catastrophic effects when food used to feed the people is redirects to make fuel for the new ruling class.
I loved flying BA. I’ll have to watch and wait.
LIEberals LIE?
LIEberals LIEing, again!
BFD...who cares?
Virtue-signaling A-holes
At what cost for bio-fuel?
Check out this Scientific American article FRom 2009: https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/navy-investigates-biofuels-to-power-ships-airplanes/
$67.50 PER GALLON does not seem like a good deal to me!
“. . . the Navy uses at least seven different types of petroleum-based fuel and burns nearly 35 million barrels per year.”
[A barrel = 42 gallons]
You do the math!
[Anybody have a more recent update than 2009 cost for bio-fuel?]
GREAT POINT!
Corn for ethanol was a winner, food-cost-wise, wasn’t it?
We are still paying the plussed up food cost effects of that stupidity!
[Not to mention the millions of small engines just RUINED by the ethanol!]
One HAS to wonder how so many dumbasses in government get to make decisions and NEVER have to suffer the consequences of their dumbass decisions!
If it`s bacon fat, Qatar Airways will jump for joy at the low fuel price.
[What they don`t know won`t hurt `em.]
Cholesterol is through the roof across the board!!!
“...skip this woke flight and not end up in the ocean when the engines fail.”
My thoughts exactly...tater tots clogging up the fuel filters.
