TALBOT CO., Md. – After a long uphill battle, the Talbot Boys statue at the county’s courthouse will get a new home.
The vote comes after the council met tonight with two resolutions up for discussion.

The resolution to move the statue passed with a vote of 3-2.
They should replace them with “The Taliban Boys”.
The Eastern shore used to be a solid part of the former country named America...
At least they didn’t destroy the statue, as happened to the Robert E. Lee statue in Richmond.

Guess they’ll be changing the name of the county.

Who’da thought Eastern Shore would go woke, besides tourist-ridden Ocean City?
We watched China and Russia go woke 60+ years ago. (My Grandfather went through that revolution in Russia)
That we didn’t learn from their mistakes disgusts me.
In ‘84 I went to visit family in Communist countries. Went to East Berlin and Yugoslavia. Hell holes.
Went back to Germany a few years after the wall came down. Spent a day at Brandenburg Gate watching families get reunited after decades.
Sobbed all day.
Chopped out a piece of that wall and to this day it is front and center in my living room.
The piece I have is painted in red, white and blue.
The statue depicts a boy in his mid-teens who joined and fought in the Confederate Army. It should remain as a historical lessen how so many young boys, North and South, participated in this American tragedy. Politicians on both sides should have found a better way to phase out slavery.
