I am a county employee with eight months until I can retire. No word on a mandate yet but if so I will be stuck between a rock and a hard place.
Get yourself a lawyer before the matter comes up, Old Joe. He or she will be able to stall for a long time - hopefully 8 months. Also, when you’re checking around for one, tell them your situation regarding your retirement if they tell you they are not taking employer mandate cases.
